Malta — Two Weeks of Transformation
12.10.26 — 25.10.26
A curated space for intermediate to advanced partner acrobats to discover, create, and perform.
Project Unfold Malta is a two-week immersive performance development programme designed for intermediate, advanced, and professional partner acrobats who are ready to take the next step — from skilled practitioners to performing artists.
This is not just a training camp. It is a crucible for creation. You will arrive with technique and leave with a performance — alongside a community of collaborators, professional footage, and a real foot in the door to begin or deepen your professional performing journey.
Whatever your level, the experience is shaped around you — and we want to push you from exactly where you are now. This is not only about opening a door into the industry. It is about connecting you with other acrobats who could become ongoing collaborators. It is about expanding your physical and creative boundaries, igniting new ideas, and growing in ways you may not have expected. Whether you are just starting out or are already on your performing journey, there is always more to discover — and we create the space to explore it.
We know how it feels to have a deep desire to perform but not know how to take that first step. That gap between training and the stage can feel vast and intimidating — and we have been there. Project Unfold was created because we wanted to build something that did not exist for us: a genuine pathway into the industry, designed for people who are ready but simply need the right space, the right guidance, and the right moment to begin. And for those who are already performing — who have the experience but are craving fresh inspiration, new creative connections, and a deeper confidence in owning the skill they have worked so hard to build — this is for you too.
We have crafted a space that is ambitious, intimate, and transformative — built equally for group connection and individual growth. Every element of the two weeks is designed to help you flourish: as a collaborator, as a performer, and as yourself.
Collaborate with your fellow participants to build and perform an original work. You will move from training to artistry — with dramaturgical guidance, creative direction, and a real stage moment as your goal.
Forge lasting connections with other intermediate and advanced acrobats from across the world. Walk away with collaborators for future shows, creative partners, and a community that champions your work.
Receive high-quality, curated footage of your work to build a showreel that speaks to the industry. Be taken seriously. Be seen. Leave Malta with material that opens doors.
" Discover. Create. Perform. "
Project Unfold Malta was sparked by Mads' vision, her passion, and her deep connection to this island. Part Maltese by heritage, Malta has always held a special place in her heart. From that initial spark, she has carefully and lovingly assembled a team with phenomenal experience, a creative eye, genuine passion, and the ability to bring this vision to life.
With a lifetime in the movement industry — as an ex-competing artistic gymnast, dancer across many forms, international partner acrobatics teacher, performer, yoga teacher, and holistic facilitator — Mads brings both depth and breadth to everything she creates. Her qualifications span Sound Therapy, Massage Therapy, Stress & Mindset Management, Holistic Health Coaching, and Ski Coaching, giving her a rare understanding of both body and mind.
Mads has an enduring love for pushing the boundaries of her own mind and body through training and playing — always curious, always evolving. It is this same drive that gave birth to Project Unfold. Born from a deep desire to take her skills beyond the studio and transform them into something that can be seen, felt, and remembered, this project is her invitation to create beautiful pieces of movement art that inspire others, tell a story, and remind people of what the human body and spirit are capable of.
Her greatest gift is people. Mads has a natural ability to deeply connect, to hear a vision and gently encourage it into being. She creates spaces where people feel safe to unravel, to explore, to unlock their creativity, and to discover what they are truly capable of — and it is precisely this quality that sits at the heart of Project Unfold. Her energy is contagious, her belief in people unwavering, and her ability to make you feel seen is something truly special.
Webb was born and raised in a small town in tropical Australia. Webb's journey with movement began long before he knew where it would take him — over the last 12 years, that curiosity has evolved into a career spanning circus, performance, coaching, and creative direction.
His experience ranges from street performance to circus stage productions, working across slackline, acro circus, dance, and movement-based arts. From the early days of founding an acrobatic slackline troupe, Webb has created and performed original shows, guided projects from concept to stage, and shared his passion through workshops and training.
As a facilitator, Webb loves helping performers find the connection between technique and creativity. Whether developing a five-minute pop-up act or a full-length production, he supports artists to discover their unique voice, build confidence in their ideas, and bring compelling performances to life.
What makes Webb truly invaluable to Project Unfold is something that cannot be taught — his energy. Infectious, grounding, and genuinely rare, he has a way of lighting up a room and drawing the best out of the people in it. His presence on this project is not just welcome, it is essential.
Danica Bianchi is a gymnastics coach and partner acrobatics teacher based in Malta, with over 10 years of coaching experience. Passionate about human movement and its ability to connect people, she combines acrobatic skills, strength training, and mobility work to create engaging and accessible learning experiences. She teaches weekly partner acrobatics and movement classes across Malta, helping students develop confidence, body awareness, and meaningful physical connections — and has led workshops both locally and at festivals internationally. Through her work, Danica aims to inspire curiosity, playfulness, and a lifelong appreciation for movement.
Alongside her teaching, Danica brings an exceptional natural talent for organisation, warmth, and a deep love for her home island. As our Local Coordinator, she is the heartbeat of Project Unfold on the ground — working behind the scenes to ensure that every element comes together seamlessly, so that participants can arrive, feel held, and simply focus on the work. Her attention to detail, people-centred approach, and genuine connection to Malta make her an invaluable part of this project.
And beyond all of that, there is something quietly magnetic about Danica — fully herself, infectious in the best way, and the kind of presence that makes everyone around her feel permission to be a little more open, a little more alive. She brings out something in people that they didn't quite know was there.
